Saturday, February 13, 2016: 9:15 AM-10:15 AM
Presented at the 2016 AAAS Annual Meeting, Washington DC

This workshop presents a roundtable discussion on being open as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, or questioning (LGBTQIQ) on campuses and in STEM workplaces. How do LGBTQIQ equality laws in U.S. states and internationally affect your career choices? Which STEM sectors value LGBTQIQ employees? How can you help improve your campus and professional environments? What mentoring resources, employee resource groups, and networking opportunities exist for LGBTQIQ people in STEM careers? Join this workshop for answers to these questions and more.
