NOGLSTP members Andrew Hebbler and Rochelle Diamond organized a symposium, “Targeting HIV/AIDS Prevention: New Research and Future Avenues”, that was presented at the annual meeting of the American Association for Advancement of Science February 21. The symposium goal was to bridge epidemiology and basic science to promote the development of prophylactic or therapeutic interventions that ultimately may lead to eradication of HIV transmission. This symposium was sponsored by NOGLSTP, with some travel support from the AAAS Section on Societal Impacts of Science and Engineering.
